What does it mean that you’re a Squarespace Circle Member?

Squarespace Circle members get access to tools, education, community, and perks to help them grow their web design practice. It just means I’ve been a greater here on the Squarespace platform for a while (since version 6 actually), and have multiple websites.

I have a fantastic network of other website professionals, can take part on new features earlier, and care deeply about taking advantage of what the platform has to offer.

What does being a Fiverr® Pro Seller mean?

I’ve been a seller on the Fiverr® marketplace since around 2016, achieving hundreds of reviews, and seller levels one and two. That doesn’t change, nor does the quality of work I provide my clients there. Being a verified Pro Seller just means I’ve been hand vetted by a closed team of experts within Fiverr®.

You’ll see other Pro Sellers on the marketplace, and we’ve all passed the test. Expect the experiences to be phenomenal.

What’s with “PocketWriter”?

Early on one of my first freelance clients really helped define what I had to offer. While guiding and sustaining the initial marketing efforts of her small business, she left a testimonial saying I was “like a writer I can just pull out of my pocket”.

Nothing is better than the actual voice of the customer (remember that for your copy).

It exemplifies my tenacity when working on the SMB projects I love so much, and it’s a lot easier to spell than my name. No matter which path my marketing career takes me down, the written word has a fundamental impact on my perspective. After all it’s really not copywriting but copythinking.

I also reserved the pocketmarketing.biz domain to differentiate any project or clients that I work with outside parties or non-copy exclusive services.

Why don’t you list prices anywhere?

That’s on purpose. Freelance copywriting and consulting is my hobby, which accompanies my full time marketing career and keeps me immersed within the larger market. So my time is valuable. My rate often fluctuates based on the available time I might have for new projects, or on the budget of the client (I’m not evil).

Do you do stuff besides marketing?

Sure, don’t you? I’ve been a life long musician, gamer, and prolific reader. In college I was a private music instructor and count myself as semi-amateur in the realms of photography, audio production, graphics, and design. While none of these things directly reflect in any professional services here, those experiences do add nuance and insight.
